CLAT Exam 2020 will be held on September 28

The common law admission Test (CLAT) will be held on Saturday, August 22. Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus and lockdown extension in India, the Executive Committee (EC) of the consortium has decided to conduct the CLAT exam 2020 as online mode at various centers.

CLAT is a national level entrance test for the law students which is conducted every year in the month of May. But due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the exam is postponed and now finally it will be held on September 28 as per the Executive Committee (EC).

CLAT holds key to the undergraduate and postgraduate law programs that are offered from the top 22 national law universities in India. The examination will be held by following all the social distancing norms and considering the safety of all the students.

The Executive Committee concluded that as per today’s situation it is not feasible to take an offline test which required a large movement of students to various exam centers. Latest CLAT 2020 exam changes

  • Number of questions in Undergraduate exams:-

The number of questions in the CLAT undergraduate exam is reduced to 150 questions from 200 questions.

  • Number of questions in Postgraduate exams:-

The number of questions in the CLAT postgraduate exam 120. The questions are of MCQ type. There will be no descriptive type of questions will be asked.

  • Formation of consortium:-

Now CLAT examination will not be conducted by only one NLU, now it will be conducted by the consortium of NLU.

  • Number of Test centers:-

A total of 203 test center locations are available for CLAT 2020 examination. Candidates can able to choose any 3 centers as per their convenience.

  • CLAT 2020 Cutoff marks – There will be chances that Consortium might introduce cut off marks for LLM admission.
